How to complete e-Arrival Card for India

Quick Fill From Existing Data
Use this when passport information is already held by Indian Visa Online. Enter the passport number, select nationality, solve the Captcha and choose Next.
Passport Number
Enter the number of the passport used to enter India without spaces or additional symbols.
Nationality/Region
Select the nationality stated in the passport used for travel.
Captcha
Enter the characters shown in the image. Refresh the Captcha when it is not readable.
Full Name (as in passport)
Copy all given names and the surname exactly as printed in the passport, without translation or abbreviation.
Purpose
Choose the purpose corresponding to the visa and actual journey. Select the tourism option for an ordinary tourist visit.
Date of Arrival (DD/MM/YYYY)
Select the date of entry in DD/MM/YYYY format. Submit the card during the 72 hours before arrival.
Countries Visited in Last 6 Days
Select every country visited during the six days before arrival. Choose No Country Visited only when no country applies.
Address in India
Enter the first hotel, apartment or host address in Latin characters according to the booking.
State
Select the region containing the stated address, such as NCT of Delhi for Delhi or Goa for Goa.
District
After selecting the state, choose the district containing the accommodation address; verify it with the property when necessary.
Email ID
Enter an active address without typing errors so that the digital confirmation can be received.
Contact Number โ ISD Code
Select or enter the country code for the primary mobile number.
Contact Number โ Mobile Number
Enter the main number without repeating the separately entered ISD code, spaces or brackets unless the portal shows another format.
Emergency Contact Number
Enter a reachable relative or other contact with the international code. Although not marked with an asterisk, it is useful to provide one.
Add Member
Use this to add a family or group member, entering that person's own passport details.
Declaration
Tick the box to confirm that all information is true and accurate. False information may lead to denial of entry or legal consequences.
Submit
Review passport, date, purpose, countries, address and contact details, then submit and wait for the digital confirmation.
After submission
Save the digital confirmation on the phone and print a backup when practical. The e-Arrival Card sends arrival information to Immigration but is not a visa or entry authorization.
Common mistakes
Wrong arrival flight number
Enter the final flight that arrives in your destination country, not the first flight in your itinerary.
Details do not match the passport
Copy names, document numbers and dates exactly as shown in the passport, using the required writing system.
Submitting outside the filing window
Check the permitted filing window for the destination and do not submit the form too early.
Using an intermediary website
Compare the portal address with the official link before entering your details, as third-party services may charge extra fees.

Do tourists need the India arrival card?
Yes. A foreign tourist should submit the free e-Arrival Card within 72 hours before arrival, including when travelling with an e-Visa.

Does each child need a form?

Is there a fee for the e-Arrival Card?
No. The official portal identifies it as a free service of Indian Immigration.
Does the e-Arrival Card replace a visa?
No. It provides arrival information and is not a visa. A visa or other entry authorization must be obtained separately.
